What you will do

• Perform technical reviews of engineering drawings, material test reports (MTRs), and welding inspection reports to verify structural integrity.
• Conduct on-site process and system audits at global and domestic suppliers to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and compliance with ASME, AWS, and ISO standards.
• Review and approve Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQR, WPQR, and PPAP submissions to eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for fabrication issues such as porosity or contamination.
• Validate inspection reports for dimensional accuracy and material traceability using NDT methods (radiographic, ultrasonic, dye penetrant).
• Track and report supplier quality metrics to stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in a Welding Supplier Quality Engineer role or related fields.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• AWS or ASME certifications; AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is highly preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel 50% or more of the time.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree.
• ASQ certifications, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
