What you will do

  • Oversee daily repair operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, including scheduling and material requisition.
  • Supervise repair mechanics and apprentices, handling performance management and progressive discipline.
  • Administer the company safety program by conducting safety audits and training employees.
  • Collaborate with Regional repair coordinators to update schedules and manage the repair backlog.
  • Utilize system reports to monitor job status, billable hours, and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience managing at a branch departmental level (or equivalent combination).
  • Ability to write professional reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
  • Must be based in Houston, TX.
