TL;DR

Forward Deployed Engineer (AI): Building the last mile of the AI platform for strategic finance customers with an accent on custom integrations, workflow automations, and domain-specific solutions. Focus on translating complex customer pain points into production-ready code and generalizing these patterns into platform capabilities.

Location: On-site in NYC or San Francisco (5 days a week)

Salary: $180,000 – $300,000

What you will do

• Embed with strategic accounts to deeply understand their domain, data, and workflows.
• Build custom integrations, workflow automations, and domain-specific solutions on top of the platform.
• Write and own production code that deploys through CI/CD pipelines.
• Own the technical relationship with the customer’s team during engagements.
• Prototype, validate, and iterate solutions rapidly to create immediate value.
• Collaborate with core engineering and product teams to generalize reusable patterns into platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience at venture-backed startups or top technology firms.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills across APIs, data pipelines, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern backend technologies (Python, TypeScript, Go).
• Ability to work comfortably in ambiguity and translate messy customer problems into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to interface with both engineers and executives.
• Must be able to work in person 5 days a week at offices in NYC or SF.

Nice to have

• Experience with data integrations, ETL pipelines, or enterprise data systems (S3, Snowflake, SharePoint).
• Experience with LLMs, RAG systems, or applied AI.
• Prior experience in finance, legal, or consulting domains.
• Previous experience in customer-facing engineering roles (solutions engineering, professional services).
