Senior Software Test Engineer (Medtech)

TL;DR

Senior Software Test Engineer (Python/Robot Framework): Developing and testing firmware, embedded, GUI and application software for medical devices with an accent on automation and regulatory compliance. Focus on implementing automated qualifying test cases and ensuring high-quality delivery according to IEC 62304/82304 standards.

Location: Must be based in Mounds View, MN, USA. Work on-site 4 days per week.

Salary: $103,200 - $154,800

What you will do

• Own features from manual and automated testing perspectives within a scrum team.
• Define, plan, and coordinate testing activities following IEC 62304/82304 standards.
• Automate qualifying test cases using an in-house framework built on Robot Framework and Python.
• Identify and report defects with detailed information to support debugging and resolution.
• Contribute to major delivery milestones including Regression Cycles, Alpha, and End-Game testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (4+ years exp) or Master's degree (2+ years exp) in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire.
• Hands-on experience in software testing, automation, and regression testing for software products.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Robot Framework.
• Experience with Linux operating system and/or QT.
• Ability to travel less than 10% for collaboration and project completion.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Agile SAFe training or experience.
• Familiarity with Squish, gRPC, and ALM tools (JIRA, CodeBeamer, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with modern DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
