Machinist III- 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York; second shift.

Salary: $32.00–$37.00 per hour, plus a 10% second-shift differential and eligibility for a $3,500 sign-on bonus under the stated application and bonus-agreement conditions.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with milling capabilities to produce components with close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Work under minimal supervision while planning work and solving production problems within the cell.
• Inspect completed work and set up or adjust gaging equipment.
• Detect unusual conditions and nonconforming parts, and identify errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience as a CNC machinist, preferably with lathe and mill machines.
• Working knowledge of G-code.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English.
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Experience with B-axis mill-turn machines with main and sub-spindles.
