TL;DR

Accounts Receivable Controller (Finance): Managing customer account ledgers and aged debt to minimize risk and maximize cash flow with an accent on debt recovery and account reconciliation. Focus on optimizing payment cycles, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring accurate allocation of receipts.

Location: Hybrid (Watford). Must spend at least two days per week (40% of time) at the Watford office.

Salary: £31,380 - £34,000

What you will do

  • Manage customer ledgers and take full ownership of aged debt to minimize risk.
  • Collect and allocate customer receipts in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Deliver invoices and statements, and perform account reconciliations to determine debt positions.
  • Process debit and credit notes, and handle monthly customer direct debit payments.
  • Use spend management portals like Coupa to secure payments and upload invoice data.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts receivable and ledger management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, specifically using formulas and V-LOOKUPS.
  • Strong attention to detail and patience for repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and multi-task effectively.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Watford for hybrid work (min. 2 days/week).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
