Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid after probation)

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Billing Agents, setting clear objectives and monitoring KPIs.
  • Oversee the validation and reconciliation of billing data to ensure accurate and prompt invoicing.
  • Manage automated billing processes and resolve complex exception queues.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, and Customer Service to resolve billing queries via Freshdesk.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements, including VAT validation and correct ledger coding.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance data quality and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and proficiency with financial systems and Excel.
  • Must hold AAT (Level 2–4), NVQ Level 2/3 in Accounting/Finance, or a relevant Degree/HND.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
