TL;DR

Strategic Account Executive (Insurance): Driving the adoption of frontier AI platforms among leading insurance carriers and reinsurers with an accent on enterprise-scale deals and strategic revenue growth. Focus on embedding AI into underwriting, claims, and actuarial workflows while navigating complex regulatory environments.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY (at least 25% office presence required).

Salary: $380,000 - $450,000 USD (OTE)

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic, high-value insurance accounts across P&C, life, health, and reinsurance to exceed revenue targets.
  • Engage with C-level stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, Chief Actuaries) to build business cases and value narratives.
  • Execute account plans to convert strategic relationships into committed revenue.
  • Collaborate with Applied AI and Product teams to translate insurance-specific needs into product roadmap inputs.
  • Develop winning use cases and reference stories to scale the FSI market motion.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Partnerships, and cloud partners (AWS, GCP) for seamless customer delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience specifically within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas selling complex technical products (API-first, Cloud, ML, or SaaS).
  • Experience building C-suite relationships within the insurance industry.
  • Strong operational rigor in managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales.
  • Credibility with technical buyers such as CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of AI/ML.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying generative AI or LLM-based products to insurance carriers.
  • Deep knowledge of regulated-industry procurement, data governance, and compliance.
  • Experience selling through cloud ecosystems like AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with consumption-based or usage-based commercial models.
