What you will do

  • Manage a mixed caseload of EL/PL multi-track cases typically valued between £25k and £100k.
  • Assess and advise on liability and quantum to determine the best case outcomes.
  • Devise comprehensive strategies for case resolution and collate necessary evidence.
  • Draft legal pleadings, including Defences and witness evidence.
  • Attend court trials and settlement conferences, either in person or by telephone.
  • Liaise with insurers and high-profile clients to maintain strong professional relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience in EL/PL multi-track file handling is required.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills for handling cases via telephone and in court.
  • High level of analytical skills and the ability to prepare succinct reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using legal Case Management Systems.
