DevOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Designing and building tooling to abstract complexity and improve operational efficiency for a foodservice technology platform with an accent on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization. Focus on scaling infrastructure dynamically, enhancing application resilience through Kubernetes, and developing internal self-service solutions.

What you will do

• Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines to empower development teams across various software products.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the deployment of development environments.
• Containerize applications to increase deployment speed and improve system resilience.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure dynamic scaling and disaster recovery.
• Develop internal tooling and self-service solutions to improve overall operational efficiency.
• Manage development resources, access controls, and security benchmarking.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role and 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Professional experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and running Kubernetes/EKS in production.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Go (Go preferred).
• Experience with CI tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) and configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Must be based in the US; company is unable to offer work sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience working with MySQL, Amazon Aurora, and Redshift.
