Systems Analyst - Cadence (Scheduling) (Epic Cadence)

Location: Information Technology Center, 315 Point Marion Road, Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. On-site office work is required, with possible travel to other WVUHS facilities and affiliated sites for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, test, and optimize Epic Cadence scheduling workflows and system functionality.
• Lead build, optimization, and rollout activities for the Guided Scheduling patient-access initiative.
• Design Cadence decision trees, questionnaires, mapping logic, visit type structures, provider search terms, templates, and automated scheduling workqueues.
• Analyze and standardize legacy visit types across clinical specialties and integrate them with scheduling templates and workflows.
• Extend scheduling workflows to MyChart Open/Direct Scheduling and Ticket Scheduling.
• Coordinate projects, troubleshoot high-priority incidents, manage system security, and provide end-user training and support.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience as an Epic Cadence Certified Analyst.
• Deep understanding of patient access and clinical scheduling workflows, including successful Epic Cadence implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence decision trees, questionnaires, mapping logic, visit type consolidation, workqueues, provider search terms, and template optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM, plus clinical data management and reporting.
• Ability to work in an office environment and travel to WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
• Experience with cloud-based healthcare applications, web services, systems administration, and operational optimization.
• Relevant certifications or proficiencies that can be completed within 90 days after formal training.
