Compensation: $236,000 – $339,250

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable distributed system solutions for a cloud-agnostic platform.
• Analyze and resolve complex fault-tolerance, high availability, and performance challenges.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of projects from design and implementation to production rollout.
• Build next-generation transaction systems, caching, storage engines, and multi-tenant capabilities.
• Balance trade-offs between consistency, durability, and costs to meet growing service demands.
• Evangelize best practices in database usage and end-to-end architecture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience designing and supporting large-scale infrastructure in production.
• Strong experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems supporting stateful services.
• Fluency in Java and deep understanding of systems programming (multi-threading, concurrency).
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Mesos, or OpenShift internals.
• Excellent knowledge of OS concepts including memory management, networking, and storage.
• BS in Computer Science (Masters or PhD preferred).

Nice to have

• Experience with scalable Key-Value stores such as FoundationDB, RocksDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with Big Data storage technologies like HDFS or Cassandra.
