Salary: $207,100–$384,500 annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus may be available.

What you will do

• Lead Digital Endpoints and Patient-Centered Solutions strategy and planning for the Ophthalmology therapeutic area.
• Integrate digital endpoints, patient-reported outcomes, clinical outcome assessments, imaging tools, and AI capabilities into the drug development lifecycle.
• Represent Ophthalmology in DEPCS and cross-functional governance forums, shaping investment cases, resource needs, and platform alignment.
• Partner with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Regulatory, GPS, pRED, gRED, and other stakeholders to embed digital and measurement strategies into development decisions.
• Oversee the assessment, validation, implementation, reuse, scalability, and lifecycle governance of digital solutions.
• Lead and mentor TA-aligned specialists while coordinating prioritization, resourcing, and delivery across internal and external collaborators.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Digital Health, Life Sciences, Measurement Science, Computer Science, or a related field; MD or PhD preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in clinical development, digital innovation, or quantitative science within pharmaceutical, medtech, or healthcare environments.
• 3+ years of experience in senior leadership or cross-functional roles managing complex portfolios or teams.
• Strong knowledge of digital endpoints, measurement science, patient-reported outcomes, and AI/ML in clinical development.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement across Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Data Science functions, as well as platform governance and digital product lifecycle management.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%; relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
