What you will do

• Ensure accurate CPT and ICD-10 documentation for patient billing processes.
• Perform daily charge reconciliation and quality reviews for assigned cardiology departments.
• Analyze clinical documentation to identify root causes of billing denials and charge errors.
• Educate colleagues and providers on accurate service documentation and coding practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage system change requests and upgrades impacting charge capture.
• Synthesize and analyze operational data to provide summaries and recommendations for leadership.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum three years of relevant coding and charge control experience in a hospital or physician practice environment.
• Required licensure/certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC, or LVN/LPN.
• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, revenue cycle, and reimbursement structures (APC, OPPS).
• Experience with electronic medical records and charge master maintenance.
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis and investigate complex charge errors.

Nice to have

• CHC (Healthcare Compliance Certification).
• CHRI certification.
• Experience with Epic systems.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation improvement processes.
