Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Durham, Miami, Palo Alto, or Washington DC (USA). This role requires a hybrid work model with office attendance 2–3 times per week.

Salary: $178,560–$267,840 (Palo Alto range)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the end-to-end ITSM practice, implementing ITIL v4 processes including incident, problem, and change management.
• Design and configure the ITSM toolchain (Jira Service Management or equivalent) to support internal engineering workflows.
• Establish a service catalog with clearly defined SLAs and OLAs to align with stakeholder expectations.
• Identify and close automation gaps in routing, escalation, and reporting to reduce manual operational toil.
• Define and track operational KPIs and build reporting cadences for senior leadership.
• Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining structured evidence of IT operational controls.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT service management or IT operations.
• Deep ITIL v4 expertise, with ITIL 4 Foundation or Managing Professional certification strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of building or significantly transforming ITSM functions.
• Hands-on experience designing and configuring ITSM tooling (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority in an engineering-led environment.
• Fluent English required for communication with senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, high-growth tech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with COBIT, ISO 20000, or SRE principles.
• Experience partnering with Security or Platform Engineering teams.
