Preconstruction Project Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: US, New York, NY

Salary: $118,500–$148,325/year, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage project development from feasibility through EPC execution, tracking project maturity, risks, mitigations, deliverables, and timelines.
• Review designs, layouts, interconnection status, permitting considerations, equipment technologies, and project buildability.
• Prepare and deploy EPC RFP bid packages through ProCore, coordinate RFIs, analyze bid responses, and produce Bid Summary Reports.
• Support EPC contractor selection, contract negotiations, CAPEX reviews, cost reconciliations, and target price processes.
• Develop preliminary project schedules covering design, utility, permitting, equipment delivery, logistics, and construction milestones.
• Build relationships with EPC contractors and coordinate the transition of execution-ready projects to Construction Project Managers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in renewable energy project management.
• Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, including feasibility, permitting, entitlements, design, utility processes, and EPC contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar, energy storage components, and related technical standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Primavera P6, ProCore, Quickbase, and Microsoft Project.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and BlueBeam, plus strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
