What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable systems using Node 20, Next.js, React, and React Native.
• Develop and optimize SQL database schemas and implement ORMs like Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize.
• Create well-documented RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications for frontend and mobile integration.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers through regular code reviews.
• Deploy and manage applications on the Azure cloud platform using Docker and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Implement security best practices to ensure backend systems are compliant with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, primarily focused on backend development.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js, React, Next.js, and React Native (Expo SDK).
• Advanced SQL skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) including schema design and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Must be based in or be willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL or tRPC.
• Previous experience in healthcare software development.
