Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $148,800–$256,700 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve production-grade software solutions.
• Build scalable, maintainable, reusable components, frameworks, patterns, and engineering tools for multiple delivery teams.
• Translate product concepts into technical designs and incremental deliverables with product and design partners.
• Establish and advocate for technical standards, design patterns, architecture practices, and long-term platform strategy.
• Lead technical design sessions, spike investigations, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering mentorship.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems while improving automation, observability, testing, security, and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are preferred.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET Core, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, DevOps practices, and iterative delivery.
• Experience with at least three areas including REST or GraphQL, serverless architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, public cloud, observability tooling, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and supporting componentized, microservices, or distributed applications, with strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Remote work is available within the United States, with travel and onsite work required at client, temporary, or corporate locations when business needs require.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI-enabled development tools, code generation models, embedding models, or vector search.
