Software Engineer II (Frontend)

What you will do

• Design and ship frontend features for the BIC iTwin/iModel Viewer using TypeScript, React, and Cesium.
• Develop and maintain micro-frontend packages in a large pnpm monorepo using Module Federation.
• Ensure high code quality through unit (Vitest) and end-to-end (Playwright) testing.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment via code reviews and PR-based workflows.
• Mentor fellow engineers through pairing and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Exton/Philadelphia, PA.
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency in building component-based UIs and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with 3D/graphics in the browser (WebGL, three.js, Cesium, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, OOP, and testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub Copilot.
• Exposure to BIM/CAD platforms or digital-twin technologies.
• Experience integrating AI/Copilot-assisted features.
• Familiarity with WebGL/3D rendering performance optimization.
