Mission Design Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Execute mission-level simulations using AFSIM and EADSIM to evaluate system performance in multi-domain environments.
• Translate operational scenarios and customer needs into system requirements, constraints, and performance metrics.
• Conduct trade studies and sensitivity analyses to inform system architecture and design decisions.
• Build and maintain simulation frameworks to guide design trades across propulsion, GNC, avionics, and software.
• Integrate mission requirements into prototype systems and support flight tests and live-fire events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align modeled performance with actual system behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mission analysis, systems engineering, or aerospace/defense modeling & simulation.
• Experience with AFSIM, EADSIM, STK, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar simulation frameworks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet aggressive timelines.
