What you will do

• Manage private fleet operations, including driver dispatch, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure strict compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and EHS regulations, including electronic log accuracy.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, licensing, and registration to ensure equipment readiness.
• Resolve tactical carrier issues and provide feedback for quarterly business reviews.
• Collaborate with the District Transportation Manager to implement improvement projects and cost-reduction strategies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Proven experience in managing and dispatching drivers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic understanding of SAP preferred.
• Must be based in Providence, RI and able to work second shift (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations.
• HazMat certification and TWIC credentials.
