TL;DR

Senior Manager, Manufacturing Process Design (Industrial Engineering): Leading the virtual-to-physical transition of Power and Thermal products using high-fidelity Discrete Event Simulation (DES) and Full-Line Balancing with an accent on production ecosystem architecture. Focus on neutralizing bottlenecks via Yamazumi modeling and ensuring "Right First Time" global product launches.

Location: Must be based in the United States (Anderson, SC; Lincoln, NE; Pelzer, SC; or Ironton, OH). Sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

  • Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, integrating manufacturing constraints and automation requirements into product design early.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes using Yamazumi modeling and Takt time analysis to eliminate waste and synchronize flow.
  • Develop and oversee Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models to virtually stress test production environments and validate throughput.
  • Direct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews to identify assembly risks and reduce post-launch ECOs.
  • Develop and justify CAPEX for launches and automation projects using ROI analysis and DES output.
  • Coordinate between global design centers and local plant operations to ensure a flawless handoff to production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing process design for power products or automotive in a leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in Discrete Event Simulation tools (e.g., FlexSim, Arena, Simio, AnyLogic) and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Deep mastery of Lean manufacturing principles and Yamazumi work-balancing techniques.
  • Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US; candidates requiring sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or Data Analytics.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing Certification, or Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
