Salary: $138,000–$145,000

What you will do

• Design, operate, and upgrade production Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS.
• Manage cluster lifecycle, versioning, scaling, and standardized node baselines.
• Engineer cluster networking, ingress, service mesh, and workload isolation.
• Automate cluster provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
• Harden clusters and workloads to meet security and compliance requirements.
• Mentor engineers and present design documentation to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Public Trust determination.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level experience operating Kubernetes in production, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform.
• Deep command of containerization, networking, and core DevOps concepts.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and zero-trust architecture.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA/CKS or AWS certifications.
