What you will do

• Manage day-to-day compliance workstreams and report material risks to the General Counsel.
• Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and own the AML/CTF framework under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017.
• Serve as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and manage the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliance programme.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with the regulatory framework governing letting agents, including client money protection and redress schemes.
• Design, deliver, and track a firm-wide compliance training programme for employees and newly acquired agencies.
• Support M&A activities by conducting compliance diligence on target agencies and managing their integration into the hirify.global framework.

Requirements

• Demonstrable compliance experience in a regulated business, with the ability to act as MLRO and DPO.
• Strong working knowledge of UK AML/MLR 2017 requirements and hands-on experience operating an AML framework.
• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Must be based in the UK for a hybrid role in London.

• Lettings, estate agency, or property sector compliance experience.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, or data protection certification).
• Tech startup or high-growth scale-up experience.
• Interest in or exposure to AI regulation.
