What you will do

• Provide practical legal guidance on the design, development, and launch of payment-related products and features.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks applicable to payments, fintech, and financial services across the UK, EU, and US.
• Monitor evolving regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations and product strategy.
• Develop, implement, and oversee policies and governance frameworks governing payment processing activities.
• Support market entry and product expansion in new jurisdictions through detailed regulatory analysis.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with vendors and customers, as well as internal compliance policies.

Requirements

• Law degree and qualification to practice in at least one jurisdiction (UK, EU member state, or U.S. state).
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience in fintech, payments, financial services regulation, or technology-focused regulatory work.
• Strong knowledge of PSD2/PSD3, E-Money regulations, AML/KYC, consumer protection, and data protection.
• Experience advising product and business teams within a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work across different time zones in a global organization.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience at a fintech, payments company, or SaaS provider.
• Experience working directly with regulators in the UK, EU, or US.
• Familiarity with global payments infrastructure, card networks, and alternative payment methods.
• Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and scale departmental needs.
