What you will do

• Define system autonomy behaviors and software requirements in collaboration with systems engineers and program managers.
• Lead team members in applying software systems engineering best practices.
• Establish goals and direction for the development of requirements, verification events, and test cases.
• Manage hardware-software integration challenges across vehicle and mission design teams.
• Ensure safety-critical software behavior is properly captured and verified to guarantee mission safety.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience developing software requirements, verification plans, and test cases.
• Proven experience in spacecraft design, operations, and fault management design.
• Experience leading cross-functional groups across systems and software disciplines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card), or granted asylum/refugee status.

Nice to have

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of NPR 7150.2D and experience with safety-critical software tools qualification.
• Proficiency in compiled languages (C/C++) and scripting languages (Python/JavaScript).
• Experience with data budgets, command and telemetry definitions, and ground system integration.
