• Design, lead, and implement complex, multi-week cross-team software projects.
• Measure and track metrics aligned with company goals and manage area-specific objectives.
• Act as the subject matter expert for your area of ownership.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth within the team.
• Uphold high standards for code quality, testing, design, and peer reviews.
• Evaluate and select new technologies to evolve the software foundation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new programming languages and development environments.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible for export authorization due to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Expertise in embedded software, robotics, or autonomy.
• Background in physics, statistics, computational mathematics, or electrical engineering.
• Prior experience in aerospace software development.
