Salary: $170,000–$243,000

What you will do

• Develop complete mission concepts based on customer requirements.
• Perform mission-level analysis and manage top-level mission budgets.
• Define requirements and design architectures for missions and RF/optical instruments.
• Conduct engineering trade studies using software tools and custom code.
• Evaluate spacecraft performance and constellation configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and science teams to meet product objectives.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or asylee) to comply with U.S. export regulations.
• B.S. or higher in an engineering field with 12+ years of experience in space missions.
• Proven experience in spacecraft and space mission design.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++.
• Ability to travel to the Mountain View facility for in-person collaboration.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for managing technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical (visible/infrared) and RF instrument design.
• Background in supporting science teams for mission development.
• Experience in constellation design and operations.
