Counsel (Energy): Advising management and project teams on utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, and gas segments with an accent on project documentation and financing. Location: Hybrid. Must be based near offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, or Princeton
Salary: $147,000 - $210,000 USD

Group is leading the transition to a world powered by clean energy, managing a massive portfolio of wind, solar, and battery energy storage assets.
What you will do
- Review, draft, and negotiate project documents, including power purchase agreements.
- Manage financing documents, covering tax equity structures, debt, and cash equity financing.
- Represent the company in various acquisitions and dispositions.
- Supervise outside counsel and provide legal guidance on asset management for operating projects.
- Advise management on regulatory issues and support litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Work cross-functionally to guide energy projects through their entire lifecycle.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Experience in project finance and development for utility-scale wind, solar, battery, and gas projects.
- Must be based in or near the specified US office locations.
- Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
