What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership for edge-compute architecture, processor selection, and software stack integration for robotics platforms.
  • Partner with customers on the design of companion computers, central compute, and vision/perception subsystems.
  • Perform design support and lab troubleshooting, including schematic reviews and root-cause analysis across hardware and kernel.
  • Enable AI, vision, and sensor-fusion workloads on NXP processors and NPUs for perception and navigation.
  • Support the transition of models from training frameworks to optimized on-device inference.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development or applications support for MPU/SoC-based platforms.
  • Strong expertise in embedded Linux (u-boot, kernel, device drivers, Yocto).
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-A processors and heterogeneous compute architectures.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as LPDDR, PCIe, USB 3.x, MIPI, and Ethernet.
  • Fluent English proficiency and willingness to travel.

Nice to have

  • Experience enabling AI/ML workloads and model optimization on edge NPUs.
  • Familiarity with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS 2, Rust, DDS) and SLAM frameworks.
  • Knowledge of platform security (TrustZone, secure boot, OP-TEE).
  • Experience with power-management subsystems and battery-powered architectures.
  • Working knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) standards.
