HSE Specialist (Energy)

What you will do

• Act as a technical advisor to the Construction Management Team, contractors, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor equipment and work progress to ensure compliance with HSE plans and applicable regulations.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety walks and exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for near misses, injuries, and incidents.
• Develop and conduct H&S and environmental orientation and training sessions for site personnel.
• Maintain the online project HSE database and develop project-specific compliance programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC projects and/or the heavy construction industry.
• Professional safety certification such as CSP, ASP, SMS, or an equivalent industry-recognized certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be able to travel and work remotely as required for project support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• 10–15+ years of industry experience.
• Advanced degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
