What you will do

• Own product development strategy for IPs in China, creating 12–24 month hardlines product line plans and assortments.
• Lead end-to-end development from concept and ideation through CMF direction, prototyping, and mass production.
• Establish and manage a stage-gate process to ensure on-time milestones, risk management, and stakeholder approvals.
• Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to align creative strategies with business objectives and sales pitches.
• Manage licensees and vendors to align on technical feasibility, materials, safety standards, and cost-to-margin ratios.
• Apply 3D and innovative technology-assisted workflows to accelerate concept visualization and packaging iterations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in consumer product development, specifically within hardlines (toys, stationery, home, electronics).
• Strong knowledge of China's hardlines retail channels, factories, and licensee ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Rhino, and Keyshot.
• Familiarity with product safety, compliance requirements, and testing documentation for hardlines.
• Ability to balance brand integrity with manufacturing feasibility and commercial profitability.
• Must be based in Shanghai, China.
