Location: Hybrid (London, UK) - 3 days in office

What you will do

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll delivery across 14+ countries using both insourced and outsourced models.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including enrolment, renewals, and benchmarking in partnership with brokers and providers.
  • Lead and performance-manage a team of 7+ payroll and benefits specialists.
  • Establish robust payroll controls, reconciliation processes, and audit trails to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage ADP and Workday to increase operational scalability and reduce manual effort.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and collaborate with Finance and Tax teams on statutory obligations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing multi-country payroll and benefits operations.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing payroll professionals.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP in a multi-country environment.
  • Solid understanding of payroll compliance, statutory requirements, and audit frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience managing and holding external payroll vendors accountable against defined SLAs.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the London office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Workday in an HR, payroll, or benefits context.
  • Knowledge of payroll requirements across European, APAC, or North American jurisdictions.
  • Exposure to benefits benchmarking or payroll vendor consolidation exercises.
