What you will do

• Perform detailed credit analysis and provide written recommendations for new transactions and facility increases across Corporate Industry Sectors.
• Act as a credit business partner to Coverage and Product teams, supporting execution through risk insight and constructive challenge.
• Manage out-of-cycle credit requests and time-sensitive events applying professional judgement.
• Develop deep sector knowledge in Services and Public Sector to define appetite and conduct thematic reviews.
• Oversee risk stewardship, including the identification of emerging risks and watchlist management.
• Sanction credit proposals using delegated authority and expert judgement.

Requirements

• Experience in corporate credit risk, preferably within a transaction-driven environment.
• Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills with high proficiency in Excel.
• Solid understanding of credit risk principles, bank risk appetite, and governance frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate recommendations to various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or able to work from Edinburgh, Birmingham, or Leeds (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Experience within Higher Education and Charities sectors.
• Previous experience operating with a delegated credit authority.
• Understanding of derivative products and transactional banking products.
