Radar Engineer (RF)

Radar Engineer (RF/SDR): Supporting the design, integration, and validation of ground and flight radar payload hardware and software with an accent on RF systems and signal processing. Focus on implementing beamforming, calibration workflows, and verifying SDR units for atmospheric data capture.

What you will do

• Support transition of radar systems from near-field to far-field validation.
• Implement and test radar signal processing chains, including beamforming, calibration workflows, and pulse compression.
• Develop and validate flight radar Software Defined Radio (SDR) and FPGA-based receivers.
• Lead payload-level integration, checkout, and regression testing.
• Conduct acceptance and environmental testing for radar subsystems.
• Maintain integration procedures, test reports, and configuration documentation.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with RF or digital hardware integration.
• Familiarity with Ka-band or mmWave RF systems and phased-array architectures.
• Proficiency with lab test equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with embedded systems, Linux environments, and scripting.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual due to U.S. export control laws.
