Subscale Engineer (eVTOL)

Base pay: $144,000–$188,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and fly new and existing subscale aircraft.
• Develop and execute ground, flight, and component-level test plans with engineers from other teams.
• Schedule and manage subscale aircraft test campaigns.
• Prepare and lead flight briefings and debriefings.
• Report and communicate test results.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in flight testing or a related field.
• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to design and fabricate small unmanned aircraft.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Excellent fixed-wing and rotary-wing RC piloting skills.
• Current FAA Part 107 license and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with subscale and full-scale eVTOL flight testing.
• Proficiency with Matlab.
• Experience with rapid manufacturing.
• Pilot license.
