What you will do

• Perform mechanical design of equipment, subassemblies, and components based on customer requirements.
• Conduct analytical studies and theoretical calculations for vacuum vessels, heat transfer, and structural analysis.
• Develop test plans, design experiments, and directly engage in prototype development and testing.
• Create and release engineering documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM) through the ECO process.
• Collaborate with manufacturing operations and electrical, process, and software engineering teams.
• Develop and refine design standards to improve efficiency in the design and build processes.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience or an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD 2D/3D CAD systems.
• Experience with hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting of devices.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to customer sites or supplier facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with plumbing system design for high purity gas and wet chemical processing.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, robotics, automation, and SEMI regulatory standards.
• Experience designing equipment for cleanroom environments.
• Ability to create and read Plumbing & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Finite element analysis (FEA) experience in structural and thermal/fluid domains.
• Experience with SAP or similar PLM systems.
