What you will do

• Design precision mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools for optical and electromechanical systems.
• Own designs through the full lifecycle from concept and prototyping to validation and production release.
• Build, assemble, and debug prototype hardware and conduct system-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Create detailed engineering documentation, including GD&T drawings and BOMs.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and early production builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• Experience creating fabrication drawings using GD&T and applying tolerance analysis principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems.
• Must be local to North Reading, MA; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or relocation.
