What you will do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy focusing on carbon reduction and environmental protection.
• Implement robust environmental policies and low-impact working methods for pipeline and civils operations.
• Ensure full compliance with UK environmental regulations and industry standards through audits and reporting.
• Lead the implementation of a carbon accounting system to capture Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
• Identify and mitigate environmental risks to ensure minimal ecological impact and sustainable project delivery.
• Drive organizational environmental awareness and training programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in environment or sustainability roles within infrastructure or construction.
• Proven experience working within pipeline, civils, or utilities sectors, specifically with water and/or gas infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in EIA, carbon reduction, climate resilience, and biodiversity net gain.
• Chartered membership or working towards membership of IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Warrington, UK.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate qualification (MSc or equivalent).
• Experience working on major infrastructure programmes or frameworks.
• ESG reporting and sustainability strategy development experience.
