What you will do

• Own the end-to-end data science lifecycle, including data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, deployment, and monitoring.
• Apply ML and statistics expertise using gradient-boosted models, deep neural networks, time series, and causal inference.
• Write efficient, modular, and well-tested code leveraging GCP tools such as Vertex AI pipelines, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Design and implement robust validation frameworks for complex experiments and models to account for biases.
• Partner with product managers to translate marketplace problems into data science solutions and define success metrics.
• Mentor junior scientists (DS I and DS II) through technical guidance, code reviews, and skill development.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in a technical field with 5+ years of industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own the full data science lifecycle from problem formulation to maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Solid foundation in probability and statistics that scale to large datasets.
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments (e.g., A/B testing, switchback).
• Must be based in Poland to align with the provided employment and B2B options.

Nice to have

• Experience with RTB environments, bidding algorithms, or AdTech marketplace systems.
• Experience with GCP and the Vertex AI platform.
• Proficiency with ML pipeline tools such as TFX, Kubeflow, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with Java and Go.
