What you will do

• Design and scale the end-to-end first-line AFC process for alerts, screening, and monitoring across bank and VASP entities.
• Take total accountability for AFC metrics, including open-alert volume, manual-review rates, and iSAR quality.
• Balance operational effectiveness with cost-to-serve and capital impact in partnership with the CFO.
• Collaborate with Product and Tech leads to minimize onboarding friction without compromising risk control.
• Line-manage and develop a team of AFC analysts to remove decision bottlenecks and single-person dependencies.
• Partner with CISO and AI teams to increase automated clearance rates and reduce false positives.

Requirements

• Substantial experience leading first-line financial-crime operations within a regulated bank, fintech, or crypto institution.
• Proven track record of actively owning and moving operational financial-crime metrics toward targets.
• Deep competence in risk-based control calibration to avoid over-blocking or excessive de-risking.
• Operational agility to work across two distinct regulated entities (Bank and VASP).
• Executive presence and credibility to defend the operating model to the Board and regulators.
