Principal Solutions Engineer (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Act as the top field expert in application and cloud-native security.
• Partner with sales teams on strategic opportunities and demonstrate the technical and business value of the Wiz platform.
• Support solutions engineers and prospects during POCs, including advanced use cases, deployment, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Provide field-based feedback to Product Management to improve product positioning and value messaging.
• Lead thought leadership sessions for field teams and support platform messaging and sales activities.
• Collaborate with the CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D organizations.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in core IT, information security, cloud, and DevOps concepts.
• Experience focused on public cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to code and understand developer workflows, including Git, CI/CD, Helm, and Terraform.
• Exceptional presentation skills for technical teams and executive stakeholders such as CISOs and CTOs.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and containers, including architecting and troubleshooting complex environments.
• Full professional fluency in German, written and verbal, is preferred; legal right to work in Germany without visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of ASPM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and SBOM formats such as SPDX and CycloneDX.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or advanced shell scripting.
