Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Remote, must be based in Singapore; APJ hours coverage and participation in a shared on-call rotation are required.

What you will do

• Fine-tune detection and response mechanisms.
• Review customer cloud environments proactively to identify risks, exposed attack surfaces, and security improvements.
• Lead investigations into supply-chain, API, malware, and runtime attack scenarios; document findings and create response playbooks.
• Handle complex and critical incidents escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2, including live customer engagements.
• Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and backend engineers to improve detection quality.
• Contribute to AI-driven detection models using machine learning to improve investigation accuracy and response efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be based in Singapore.
• Hands-on cybersecurity experience with real-world cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of detection engineering, incident response, threat analysis, and cloud attack techniques.
• Experience with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Linux experience; familiarity with networking fundamentals and Python or Bash scripting.
• Strong customer communication skills and availability for nights, weekends, or holidays during on-call rotation weeks.
