Mechanical Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Full on-site support required in Noordwijk, Netherlands. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.

What you will do

• Perform precision machining using CNC and conventional equipment for space engineering activities.
• Support the prototyping and manufacturing of mechanical parts based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct high-precision mechanical assembly, fitting, and adjustments of components.
• Execute dimensional verification and inspections using metrology equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve manufacturability issues.
• Maintain workshop machines and strictly adhere to ESA and ATG safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Technical Diploma (MBO/MTS or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in conventional and/or CNC machining and ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T).
• Knowledge of measurement instruments, inspection techniques, and workshop safety standards.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in Noordwijk.

Nice to have

• Experience with space hardware manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAM software.
• Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
• Certified training for crane, hoist, or forklift operation.
• Welding experience.
