What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for APIs and backend services using Karate and Cucumber with RestAssured.
• Write clean and maintainable automated tests in Java to provide fast, accurate feedback.
• Validate functional and non-functional behavior of search and retrieval services, including error handling and reliability.
• Contribute to contract testing and service-level testing strategies for REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines across multiple levels of the stack.
• Utilize observability tooling such as New Relic and logging for diagnosis and quality analysis.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience in software testing or quality engineering.
• Strong expertise in API testing, contract testing, and service interactions.
• Strong coding and scripting proficiency in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Karate, Cucumber, and RestAssured.
• Practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines and observability tools like New Relic.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing.
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and contract testing approaches.
• Experience testing shared services or internal platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS).
