What you will do
- Lead the complete documentation process from drafting and reviewing to execution and filing of ISDA, CSA, CDEA, GMRA, and GMSLA suites.
- Independently manage complex and sensitive negotiations for high-profile institutional clients.
- Review legal opinions on netting and collateral enforceability in coordination with external counsel.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies that balance client requirements with firm risk management.
- Collaborate with Franchise and Prime business groups to support trading relationships.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members while identifying opportunities to improve control processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or JD required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a legal or trading documentation role within a financial institution or law firm.
- Strong knowledge of legal entities including funds, insurance companies, and pensions.
- Proven ability to negotiate and review detailed legal documents with high accuracy.
- Strong commercial acumen regarding derivative, repo, and securities lending markets.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
