Principal Identity Architect (IAM)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office; Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

What you will do

• Design and architect secure, scalable IAM solutions aligned with business requirements, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Develop identity lifecycle management, access governance, and least-privilege access strategies.
• Integrate identity providers, directories, applications, and services, including federation and single sign-on solutions.
• Design authentication and authorization mechanisms using MFA, RBAC, and ABAC.
• Own the PAM architecture roadmap, including privileged asset discovery, application integrations, and Tier-0/Tier-1 account onboarding.
• Establish IAM governance standards, support risk management and compliance, evaluate IAM products, and provide expert guidance on critical incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing identity and access management solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts, identity providers, directory services, authentication protocols, PAM, and access management systems.
• Experience with cloud identity or PAM solutions such as SailPoint IdentityNow, Entra ID/Azure AD, or CyberArk.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards, including NIST.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient IAM solutions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
