TL;DR
Technical Design Architect (Data Infrastructure): Designing and delivering complex Professional Services solutions for data migration, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery across ANZ with an accent on storage architecture, systems integration, and customer-facing technical consulting. Focus on automating operational environments with Python, Ansible, Terraform, and APIs, designing multi-vendor infrastructure, and solving complex business continuity challenges.
Location: Primarily in-office in the Sydney or Melbourne office, Australia

What you will do
- Lead the technical scoping, architecture, and hands-on delivery of large-scale Professional Services solutions for data migration, replication, and clustering.
- Advise internal sales teams and external customers during pre-sales and post-sales engagements, evaluations, and Proofs of Concept.
- Design solutions supporting business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Develop scripting and automation for system integrations and data migration or replication workflows using Python, APIs, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Provide architecture-level guidance on storage, networking, cloud platforms, and multi-vendor server and storage environments.
- Contribute technical content to RFPs and RFQs and advise on replication, clustering, and data migration standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall technical experience and 5+ years as an SME or solutions architect in ANZ.
- Expert knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, and SAN.
- Significant experience with replication, clustering, disaster recovery, and business continuity technologies such as Zerto, Veeam, or Veritas.
- Experience managing and integrating Windows, AIX, and Linux systems, plus VMware ESX/SRM and Hyper-V environments.
- Strong knowledge of data center migrations and consolidations, networking concepts such as Nexus and ACI, and multi-vendor infrastructure.
- Exceptional consultative communication, technical writing, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in customer-facing work.
