What you will do

• Develop conceptual designs and conduct advanced engineering analyses for high-voltage transmission lines (115kV–500kV).
• Review and approve technical documents, design criteria, specifications, and CAD drawings to ensure compliance with NESC and internal safety codes.
• Independently manage project scope, schedule, and technical requirements, including evaluating cost-effective alternatives and technical feasibility.
• Solicit, evaluate, and review engineering consultant proposals for technical compliance and quality assurance.
• Represent engineering with government bodies, internal project managers, and construction personnel; facilitate design reviews and walkdowns.
• Support operational reliability through root-cause analysis and emergency restoration planning, including rapid-response technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum.
• Minimum 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design for transmission systems.
• Extensive familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, or equivalent transmission line design software.
• Deep understanding of NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and high-voltage construction practices.
• Ability to plan work independently, manage deliverables, and coordinate with construction and field personnel.
