Senior Data Engineer II

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer II (DataOps): Building and optimizing secure, scalable data infrastructure to support global research and healthcare analytics with an accent on orchestration, automation, and platform reliability. Focus on designing robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and Snowflake while collaborating across disciplines to ensure high-quality data delivery.

Location: Must be able to work in the office twice a week in Reforma, Mexico City.

What you will do

• Design and implement robust data orchestration and transformation solutions.
• Ensure reliable delivery of high-quality data for analysis and reporting.
• Partner with DevOps to automate deployments and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Build reusable frameworks and modular components using Airflow.
• Improve platform scalability and reliability through enhanced monitoring and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain technical standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the office twice a week in Reforma, Mexico City.
• Demonstrated experience with modern data technologies such as Airflow, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Proficiency in building data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using Python and SQL.
• Understanding of SDLC, DataOps, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and data security principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, Sisense, AWS, GitHub, Terraform, and Docker.
